🤦‍♂️ For real, folks. I’m looking at my local community page and three separate people have posted panicked photos asking why there’s a “second moon” or a “UFO” parked next to the moon tonight. Come ON. Use your eyes AND your brain.

It’s VENUS. You know, the planet that’s been hanging around the western sky after sunset for weeks? It’s the brightest natural object in the sky after the moon. This isn’t astronomy, it’s common sense. If it was a planet “next to” the moon, you could see it with your face stuck out a window. Stop filming your porch light and asking if it’s Mars.
