“SOCIETY’S MORAL COLLAPSE: SAN DIEGO SHOOTING EXPOSES THE DISTURBING TRADE-OFF BETWEEN ‘INCLUSION’ AND ACCOUNTABILITY”

SAN DIEGO, CA – In the wake of the tragic shooting that has left three dead and seven wounded in a downtown San Diego nightlife district, we must step back from the political rhetoric and confront the deeper rot: The complete erosion of personal responsibility in a society that has traded moral courage for blanket emotional validation.

Witnesses and anonymous police briefings suggest the shooter, a 34-year-old local with a documented history of aggressive outbursts and radical online rhetoric, had been “de-escalated” and “given second chances” by at least two separate community intervention programs in the last 18 months.
